Len is a proud graduate of The University of Alabama, where he earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice. His journey into the world of tax preparation began in 2004 when he started working alongside his father, Leonard G. Nelms, CPA. With unwavering support from his father, Len made a pivotal decision to return to school at Kennesaw State University, aiming to shift careers and follow in his father’s esteemed footsteps as a CPA. His hard work paid off, and he proudly earned his CPA license in early 2014.
Entering the realm of assisting clients with IRS and State Department of Revenue issues, Len found this work both challenging and immensely rewarding. Beyond his professional endeavors, Len’s personal life is rich and fulfilling. Married to Tammi since 1985, they share the joys of raising two children, Christian and Chloe, and of spoiling their three grandchildren! Len’s involvement goes beyond his professional life—he actively coached his children’s sports teams, ranging from football and baseball to basketball and fastpitch softball.
Len and his family are longstanding members of First Baptist Woodstock, where he has contributed significantly as an Adult Sunday School teacher, deacon, and care group leader. Living by the principles of Psalm 19:7-11, Len’s overarching goal is to live as an ambassador of Jesus Christ in all aspects of his personal and professional relationships.
